Charles Owona
After thirteen years of professional experience at IBM, he decided to put his experience in compliance, internal control and risk management at the service of companies linked to the new intangible economy, founding a consultancy specializing in the recognition, management and enhancement of intangible assets and experiential value.
He holds a degree in History and a diploma in Public Relations. He has a specialization in Corporate Reputation, Sustainability, and Corporate Social Responsibility from the Higher Institute of the Environment (ISM). His training is further complemented by studies in Reputational Risk Management from Corporate Excellence – Centre for Reputation Leadership and the Institute of Stock Market Studies (IEB), as well as in Corporate Responsibility from the Instituto de Empresa (IE). He has also participated in the international executive program "Trends in Organizational Communication" at the International School of Communication (EIC).
He is certified as an Internal Auditor of Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001) by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and as an Expert in Internal Control and Risk Management by the Institute of Internal Auditors of Spain. He also holds the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Qualified Licensing Practitioner accreditation, awarded by Licensing International, the world's leading licensing organization.
He is the driving force behind Brands Licensing Africa, the leading licensing and brand development trade show on the African continent. He has developed and manages partnership projects in the sports sector—primarily in motorsports and football—advises chambers of commerce on the design of global strategies, and has been a visiting professor of strategic communication in Ecuador.
His professional career is characterized by a strong international profile, with experience in Africa, Europe and Asia (Japan).
